Simple Raster Map Viewer

A Flash-based raster mapping interface, this application uses the ICubed datadoors raster server to provide imagery to this simple map viewer. A thin client built on an architecture similar to the Advanced Vector Map Viewer, this viewer communicates via SOAP with a Web service.

 

 

Simple Vector Map Viewer

A modified version of the ESRI HTML viewer. The vector mapper allows basic viewer functionality; zoom, pan, full extent. A thick client using Javascript library, it uses arcIMS and sends ArcXML requests directly to the server. Custom functionality has been added.

 

 

Advanced Vector Map Viewer

Written from the ground up, this is a Flash mapping interface which combines both basic map functionality (zoom, pan, full extent) with advanced zoom to location and data extraction. A thin client, this interface is written in Actionscript 2.0 and Flash 8. Communicating, using Flash remoting, with a Java middle tier, arcIMS is used as the spatial server. Data is stored in shapefiles and ArcSDE/Oracle.

 

 

Vector Map Viewer and PDF Generator

A vector based Flash map viewer which includes custom icons and allows users to download a PDF. It uses arcIMS as the spatial server. A customised AXL file and PDF Java generator add functionality and a different look and feel to the site.

 

 

Flex 2 SVG Map

This interface uses the simple SVG renderer built into Flex 2. It allows users basic map interaction. Point selection opens either videos, image slideshows, or bar graphs. Written in Actionscript 3.0 and Flex 2, SVG files are generated by arcMap. Flash 8.0 video encoder is used for video FLV.

 

 

Multimedia Map Viewer

This viewer allows users to combine vector and raster map images with a flash movie which includes video and imagery. This is a Flash interface driven by arcIMS. Selecting a point location loads a Flash movie and the Java middle tier manages all interterface actions.

 

 

Flex 2 Image Viewer and Downloader

In this viewer/downloader, users can select images from a drop down list. Favorite images can also be downloaded. It was written in Actionscript 3.0 and Flex 2, while also using Photoshop CS2 and Fireworks 8.0.

 

 

Flex 2 Map Image Viewer

An image and PDF viewer. The application includes a Javascript slidehow written in Actionscript 3.0, Flex 2, and Javascript.
